Founding partner retires its legacy agenda management system, bringing 46 boards, 30 departments, and more than 1,200 historical meetings onto one modern platform.

GAINESVILLE, Fla., October 13, 2026: Alachua County, Florida is now live on Govinity, replacing its legacy agenda management system with a modern legislative management platform built for the way the County works. The go-live follows the County's launch of Govinity for boards and commissions, the first milestone in its county-wide modernization.

Staff across the County now prepare, route, and approve agenda items in Govinity. Meeting minutes are also fully drafted and approved in Govinity, with official versions published through the platform as part of this release. The County's full meeting history has moved with them, so past and present records live in one place for staff and the public.

Every body, seat, and department is configured in a single system, so the County's agendas, appointments, and records stay connected rather than spread across separate tools.

Easy to use from day one

Adoption came quickly across all 30 departments, with many users working in Govinity before any formal training.

"Seeing 210 people across 30 departments pick it up and run with it is the best validation we could ask for," said Thao Hill, CEO and Co-Founder of Govinity. "As we walk from department to department, from submitters to approvers to board liaisons, the overwhelming statement is, ‘This is so easy to use, and you're doing things our previous vendor said wasn't possible.’"

    What's next: integrated meeting video

The next and final phase moves the County from its current Board of County Commissioners meeting video system into an integrated experience with Govinity. Meeting video will connect directly to the agendas, items, and minutes it belongs to, instead of living in a separate platform.

When that phase is complete, Alachua County will run its full public meeting lifecycle in Govinity: board appointments, item intake and approval, agenda publishing, drafting and approval of minutes, publication of official minutes, meeting video, and the permanent public record.
